Overview

CiteLaunch at https://www.citelaunch.com is operated by Abhishek Chavhan, an individual based in India, who is responsible for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we send it to, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information: you sign in with Google, which shares your email address, name, and profile image with us. We don't receive or store your Google password.
  • Profile and product data: anything you add to your maker profile or product listing, including uploaded logos, banners, and screenshots.
  • Usage data: page views, votes, and comments on listings, used to rank the weekly leaderboard and show view counts.
  • Website content: when you give us your product URL, we fetch and store pages from that website so our tools can analyse and answer questions about it.
  • Payment data: our payment processor handles your card details directly. We never see or store full card numbers; we keep a record of what you bought and when.

How we use it

We use this information to operate the leaderboard, host your public product and profile pages, carry out the directory submissions you buy, run the AI tools you ask us to run, send you account and order email, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

What we send to directories on your behalf

This is the most significant way your data leaves our systems, so it's worth being explicit. If you buy a plan that includes directory submissions, we send your product information, which normally includes your name, your email address, your product name, description, links, and images, to third-party directory websites in order to create a listing for you, and we create accounts in your name where a directory requires one.

Those directories are independent companies with their own privacy policies and their own retention rules. Once your information is submitted, it is held by them under their terms, not ours. We can't delete it on your behalf. If you want a listing removed you'll need to contact that directory directly, though we can tell you which ones we submitted to and when.

How we use AI

Our maker-facing tools send your product listing, and content we fetched from your website, to a third-party AI provider to generate reports, drafts, and answers. Only the data needed for the feature you triggered is sent, and it is sent to produce your result, not to build a public dataset.

What's public

Product listings and maker profiles you choose to publish are public by design, and that's the point of the directory. Anything you enter on a public listing or profile (name, tagline, description, links, images) is visible to visitors and can be indexed by search engines and AI answer engines. That indexing is the product working as intended, and it means published content can persist in caches and third-party indexes after you remove it from our site. You can unpublish your maker profile at any time from Settings.

Who else processes your data

We share data with the service providers that run the site, solely to operate CiteLaunch:

  • Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage
  • Vercel: Application hosting and content delivery
  • Polar: Payments and merchant of record
  • Resend: Transactional email
  • DeepSeek: AI text generation for the maker-facing tools
  • Google: Sign-in, when you choose to sign in with Google

Beyond these and the directories described above, we don't share your data without your consent, except where required by law.

Where your data is processed

Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes your profile and listings from public view; we keep order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Content already submitted to third-party directories is retained by them under their own policies.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference, and a short-lived cookie to carry a product URL you entered before signing in through to onboarding. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can edit or delete your product listings and profile at any time from your dashboard, or delete your account entirely from Settings → Account. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll action it.

Children

CiteLaunch isn't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone below the age at which they can agree to these terms in their country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
